some photo's from the week of our hollydays
Hello the last messages from New Zealand
Hello readers of this blog.
Our hollydays are almost over and we are in the last part of our trip.
We went to Wellington by train and flew back. The trip by train was excellent and takes 12 hours. You see the photo' where we are sitting in the back of the train.
The train traffels a long way and halfway there is a spiral. The train must go over a little mountain and the engeneers make a spiral of it. a spiral goes higher and higher like an 8 to go over the mountains. very spectacular.
Well, the last days we have stayed at the house of our daughter in Auckland and do some gardening. In the afternoon we went to auckland to have a drink together.
And on 13 oktober we had to leave new zealand. A pitty, and some tears by depart.
Well, we went to KUALA LUMPUR. A fantastic city. And very warm indeed. 35 gr.
The airport is beautifull, very big and very nice. Close to the airport is hotel concorde and very good. a shuttlebus (free) to go to the airport and from there take the special train to the city. very good
If you want to stay longer in KL then i advice you to have an hotel in the city, so you do not have to travel, for the train to the city cost about 7 euro.
In the city there are different monument you can visit: sky tower, twin tower, bird park, shoppingstreet, king palace, thean temple, sri maha MARIAMAN HINDU TEMPEL, batu caves, time square, etc.
In the following part i have entered photo's from Kuala Lumpur.
After we visited KL we had to go home again, apitty, but the hollydays are over.
So readers of this site this is the last part of our journay.
We thank you all and we hope you have enjoyed our part.
In out dutch report you can also see photo's.

trip to Bali and new zeeland (more)
Hello again,
After visiting Bali, where we had a wonderful time and very warm, we are now in new zeeland to visit our daughter, who lives in auckland. After some problems with luggage, we are oly allowed to have 15 pp and we were going to colder new zeeland. So had to pay anyway for the extra kilo's.Again air asia was very strange for us: there were seats you can use overall. the seats are not numbered so it was a run to the airplane.very strange. Then we landed on Kuala Lumpur and we had to change airports. Air asia landed on a different spot. Now the transfer was in daytime, so all went thistime smoothly. After several hours of waiting we started to go of to new zeeland. The welcome of our daughter was very nice andwe had many talks because we had not seen eachother in a long time.We have visited an island, WAIHEKE, that is an wonderfull island close to auckland (45 minutes by ferrie). It is an island where 'flower power' people went in the years 70's. Some of them are stayed there and still wearing long hair and flower power clothes.funny to those people. There was market on the island and we met a polisch woman, who married with a dutch guy and was visitingnew zeeland on her one. She invited us to have a drink a glass of wine. That was very nice of her.We are not so used to the cold weather here, because we came from Bali and there the temperatuur was 30 degrees and here15 degrees in daytime.Very funny though, we see here in new zeeland people in the 40 ties walking in t-shirt and short pants, while the temp is only 15-18 degrees.Because of the summer may be, but now it is springtime and the temp is very low.It is a beautifull country here and the people are very nice. They are not so in a hurry as in holland, or western europe.and if you see the houses, all are places on a big piece of ground. only 1 level and you think that the house are big, but when you go insidethey are not as big as you think. The surrounding of the houses are big. many grass around the houses, many space in front and behind.Well, for now this memo, next week more. I will try to put photo's on this site as well. You can also see photo;s on the dutch site (similair, but in dutch language).
